Walks and wildlife , this is a great place to go. Peaceful and plenty of different routes to take depending how far you want to go!

Fantastic for riverside and woodland walks. There is a small car park on Ripley Road. Drop into nearby Ripley or Knaresborough for ice cream too! You can do a longer loop of about an hour and a half that takes you via the Gardener's Arms in Bilton (dog friendly). It's a lovely walk and you can also add on Knaresborough which would be more like three hours.

Head up to the car park for Nidd Gorge on Ripley Road (about 15 mins walk) and then spend a lovely day exploring the miles of paths. You can stay in the knaresborough part of the gorge, or head out for a good walk into Harrogate or Ripley. Stunning scenery, great for dogs. Not wheelchair accessible for the most part.

A fantastic walk along the river, 3 mile/ 5 mile loops. Park on Bilton Lane, off the Skipton Road. Great for dogs especially those who like to swim.

Nidd Gorge makes up a section of the River Nidd in North Yorkshire, England, in which the river enters a deep ravine with sheer, tree covered valley sides. The river as a whole flows from its source near Great Whernside in Nidderdale, to its confluence with the River Ouse near Nun Monkton.
