Okay, not exactly a hiking trail, but it's a perfect place to ride your bike or walk along the lake. The path more or less begins at the UW Terrace, then follows the shoreline out to Picnic Point.

Just a couple blocks from the beautiful lakeshore walk to the University's Memorial Union, Alumni Park, campus and the preserve

Our daily hike is out the front door and down to the Lakeshore trail. We walk to the Union and back. If you want to enjoy campus and the rest of the neighborhood on the way home, climb Bascom Hill and meander back on the streets.
