"The Sparks Heritage Museum is a museum that celebrates the history and heritage of the City of Sparks, Nevada and the connections to the surrounding area of the Truckee Meadows. The Museum has been in operation since 1987 and has several galleries and a gift shop. Guests are encouraged to join as members to receive the quarterly newsletter and the museum supports schools and the public with educational tours and monthly lecture series and special events throughout the year. Located in the heart of Downtown Sparks, Nevada the museum is situated with easy access directly off the Pyramid Street exit off I-80, and is surrounded by many restaurants and parks with plenty of walking space. A great place to spend the day!"

The Sparks Heritage Museum shares the story of how the town of Sparks, Nevada got its start, as well as the rich history of the rest of the state. Visitors can learn more about the Truckee Meadows and Sparks, as well as look at many different artifacts, printed materials, and photographs from several eras of the region’s history.

A family friendly place of learning where you can explore the history of Sparks. Railroads and gold prospectors built the city over 150 years ago, and the legacy lives on in Victorian Square.
