This is a great place to spend the day. The kids can enjoy the playground, while you picnic by their side. Best of all it’s free!!
Perfect for watching the salmon run in late summer-early fall. A great and easy walk anytime of year to see the waterfalls and salmon ladder, a 2 minute drive from downtown.
Scenic landscapes and powerful, cascading falls that frame the awesome power of the Deschutes River!
Tumwater Falls is a wonderful place for a walk. Staff on site to answer questions and talk about the history of the park.
This is a great place to visit the salmon, especially when they are spawning. There are easy to navigate pathways along the river and the falls are always a draw to see. There is also a lovely park attached that the kids love to play in.

“Fishtail was the first brew pub to claim the hearts of Olympians. It was established long before brewery mania took over the country. Good beers and ciders plus a decent kitchen. My favorite place to sit is in the back room by the fireplace after a wet mushroom foray!”
