The full preserve features an abandoned cranberry bog, hiking trails and a classic rock-strewn New England beach that is just a 90-second hike from the parking lot. Once there you'll likely find yourself alone with views of Cape Cod Bay, the outstretched arm of the Cape itself and, on a clear day, Provincetown. Recently the Pine Barrens Alliance assumed the lease at 158 Center Hill Road, where they are developing a conservation center (visitors welcome) with an emphasis on climate change, ocean protection, and a greater appreciation for the area's rare ecosystem - the Atlantic Coastal Pine Barrens.
