It is amazing to see where brave paratroopers dropped on French villages in the middle of the night. This is where the D-day invasion truly began. The people who live there today remain very observant of what happened.

WW2 history - story of how paratrooper landed on this church captivating. Nice stopover on way to beaches at Barneville-Carteret. For those wanting more there’s an Airborne museum here.
