Take a walk around Historic Temple Square, where Utah began to take shape. The temple's architectural beauty was created from granite that was hauled in from nearby canyons and took 40 years to complete. The gardens are re-designed every 6 months with spectacular flowers and greenery. A great place for photos. During winter months, the temple grounds are decorated with Christmas Lights and a Nativity Scene. There is also a visitor's center which contains a large relief map of Jerusalem on the first floor and statue of Christ under a dome painted of the Milky Way Galaxy on the second floor. A multi language recording of Christ speaking played over and over.

Free tours of historic Utah Landmarks. Conference center has tours from 9am to 9pm everyday. very insightful and rich of Utah history

Weather is your religion or not, temple square is a great place to visit and learn about the Utah pioneers. There are greet places to eat and shop around.
