A really neat place to ride mountain bikes and access the infamous Dixon Trail. I helped build the Dixon Trail in the fall of 2018. It takes an average person about 5-6 hours (round-trip) to hike. Similar to to the Manitou Incline, this is a pretty tough hike, so you will need to plan ahead before attempting. Some interesting history: On Oct. 12, 1957, a T-33 training plane attempting an instrument landing at Peterson Airfield slammed into the southern shoulder of Cheyenne Mountain. Ruins of the plane are are still present...unfortunately the two pilots did not survive.

The park boasts 21 trails, totaling over 27 miles, for all levels of hikers. Trails range from short and easy to long and extreme. Dogs are allowed on designated trails only. The mountain biking is epic! There is a daily entry fee.
