Built in 1972 by the Cebu’s substantial Chinese community, the Cebu Taoist Temple has a replica of the Great Wall of China by its entrance. And it includes a chapel, library, souvenir shop, and a wishing well. Devotees and tourists alike visit here to perform rituals - like the climbing of its 81 steps, which represents the 81 chapters of Taoism scriptures, the lighting of joss sticks and having their fortune be read by the monks.

Cebu Taoist Temple is a Taoist temple located in Beverly Hills Subdivision of Cebu City, Philippines. The temple is built by Cebu's substantial Chinese community in 1972. With an elevation of 300 metres (980 ft) above sea level, the temple is a towering, multi-tiered, multi-hued attraction accessible by three separate winding routes.

Visit Taoist Temple 22 mins travel or 6.2 km. In the Beverly Hills subdivision of Cebu, you’ll find a beautifully designed Taoist Temple. Located 300 meters above sea level, expect lots of steep steps and winding paths that will get your blood pumping as you make you way to the top. Once you reach the temple, you’ll be greeted with beautiful views of the island. Join in on a Taoist ritual of taking two blocks of wood into the temple and dropping them on the floor in front of the shrine. If both blocks fall face up, then the gods are permitting you to make a wish; if not, then the gods don’t believe it’s time for your wish to come true. Before you enter the temple, however, be sure to wash your hands and take off your shoes.
