Beautiful hiking with a creek to play in. Lots of birds and wildlife, and the Nature Center is fantastic for learning about everything in the park (open 9a-3p)
A free sight to take a lunch and sit by the stream. There's no limit to what fun kids and dogs can have romping in the hills and stream, right off the road.
It’s free! One if the best places to hike. Tons of great trails. Download alltrails app or cheyennecanyon.org to help you choose. You can also drive up to the top of the mountain and overlook all of Colorado Springs. This is located by the Zoo and the Broadmoor Hotel. There is also North Cheyenne Mtn Park which costs $ 9.00 per car to enter.
This is one of our favorite go-to places. Parking can be difficult at times, but there are beautiful trails, views, and also a waterfall. As you enter, you should see a stream on your left as you begin to drive up towards parking. My kiddos love to play in the water while we enjoy the views & outdoors. There's plenty of trail options, a mini gift & information center, porty-potties, and small parking pull-offs throughout. There's also a main parking area for Helen Hunt Falls. If you continue driving to the top, there's also another primary parking area for 7 Bridges trail. Enjoy!!

Lots of hiking options! During Spring and Summer the park gets busy, and parking may be limited later in the day. Morning is ideal for hiking any trails here. Helen Hunt Falls is an easy hike with lovely views. Lower Columbine is an easy hike through woods next to a creek. For a more challenging hike, try upper Columbine, Mt. Custer and Mt Muscocco ; or drive further up the switchback road to the upper gold camp parking lot to access trail heads for Seven Bridges trail, and further on to the St Mary’s falls trail.
