Narvik railway station is located 500 metres from town centre and is the end station of the Ofoten Line. The station at Narvik represents the northern terminus for one of Europe's most celebrated night trains. The station is served by three daily passenger trains from, respectively, Kiruna, Luleå and Stockholm in Sweden. The station was opened in 1902 along with Ofotbanen and the Iron Ore Line. At the station you can visit Bifrost, an over 100 year old steam train. Walking from the station towards the town centre You will observe statues of both Svarta Bjørn (Black Bear) and Rallaren, two legends from the history of Narvik
