This is our backyard. Hiking trails with views of Mt. Diablo to the Bay! Cows and newts roam around and horseback riders use this park too. Not to be missed if you love nature. Sometimes there's a fee if the booth is attended, I think it's $5.00 or $10.00. Plenty of parking at any entrance you choose, there are at least 3. Ask for more details.

If it's cloudy or chilly in Berkeley and you want/need some serious sun and heat, there are fantastic hikes and views at Briones.

All sorts of great hiking and biking here. You'll never know you're so close to urban centers once inside.
