This is the most emblematic monument in Mexico City, apart from seeing it walking in Reforma is great especially on Sunday mornings because the government closes the streets to cars so people can enjoy riding bycicles and walking.

The most emblematic monument in the country can be found on the most important avenue (Paseo de la Reforma) of Mexico City. It's arguably the most famous touristic destination in CDMX. Close to Chapultepec and surrounded by great restaurants and bars.

It was built in 1910 during the presidency of Porfirio Diaz to commemorate the centennial of the beginning of Mexico´s War of Independence. Stays in Reforma - one of the iconic avenues of the city. A good program is go for a walk in Reforma (there is a lot of life all the time) and see the Angel at the same time.
