Tucked into Ocean Park’s residential enclave, Kasalta is the sort of authentic Puerto Rican bakery and diner that you'd cross town to visit. The coffee here is as legendary as the pastries that fill a long, long glass display case and include everything from Danish to iced buns. The garbanzo…

Pizzaria
“Really good rustic-artisanal pizza especially for those who like thin crust pizza. All made on artisanal oven with fresh ingredients. Curiously, this place also have one of the best Mexican tacos in the city. This is definitely a nice stop on your way back home after a day on the beach. Good drinks, not super pricey, and friendly staff!”

“A little walk from calle Loiza you can find this cozy, local business that makes really good Mexican food. They also have good tacos and burritos, especially the fresh seafood ones. Great spot for ceviche lovers! Service can be a little slow on busy days, so I'd recommend it for a day you're not in a rush - it's really worth it though!”

Restaurante Mexicano
“A sign at the front announces what you won’t find here: lettuce, melted cheese, hard taco shells, burritos, or anything close to Tex-Mex. The specialties are made-to-order tacos prepared with soft corn tortillas, made fresh daily. The all-stars are the tacos al pastor, sliced al momento from the doner-style spit in the main dining room. Get there early, though, because they tend to run out quickly. (Pork belly, cochinita pibil, tongue, and barbacoa all come a close second if the al pastor runs out.) Pair your taco with an agua fresca, horchata, michelada, or margarita. Save some room for a slice of the fantastic Key lime pie.”

Padaria
“Double Cake started as a homemade business dedicated to the creation and making of cakes. Yaritza Lozano decided to combine her knowledge of art and design acquired in the School of Plastic Arts with her second passion: baking. Together with her husband Orlando Santiago and her friend Kassandra de Jesus they created the business from their home, which grew and grew until after 5 years their kitchen space was no longer sufficient. From there, Double Cake Baking Studio was born. A logical evolution of the original concept that would not only serve as a space to continue creating the cakes by order, but would apply the same innovative and artistic spirit to a wide menu of diverse desserts all made 'from scratch'. This is how Double Cake became a baking space that currently stands out for its new 'twist' to classic desserts such as cupcakes, macaroons, breads, biscuits, cakes and cheeses. Visit us and enjoy a good coffee, tea or chocolate in a cozy and different atmosphere.”
