The Ofir beach is one of the most seek out beaches in the North of Portugal. There are 2 great surf schools were you can learn the sport or simply rent a board and venture into the sea.

South of the mouth of the Cávado river, integrated in the Area of Protected Landscape of the Esposende Coast, Ofir Beach, surrounded by dunes and pine forests, is one of the most beautiful stretches of the northern coast of Portugal. A natural curiosity are the rocks that at low tide emerge into the sea and due to their shape are popularly called "horses of Fão". In the summer months the fun never stops. During the day, bathers prefer the central area of the beach, while surfers choose the south area, with the best swell. At night, the excitement continues in the many restaurants, bars and discos that surround the beach.
