A wee bit further out but you can access easily by train - nestled in the up and coming heart of Glasgow's southside - Queen's park has a gorgeous view over Glasgow. Adding to this they have a reptile house that is free entry which is open until 4 most days and is a good little adventure.

At the end odour street, there's a brilliant walk right up to the flagpole in this beautiful park, with panoramic views right across the city.

A walk around Queens Park just at the end of the road is a must for anyone staying in Strathbungo. Head up the hill and enjoy the views or even better grab a coffee and a pastry from one of the lovely local cafes and enjoy them in the park. There’s also a Park Run (5km) here every Saturday morning which starts at 9:30am near the bandstand.

The replies are pretty cool! Lovely park in the heart of Southside Glasgow. The views from the flag pole over the city are amazing!

It is literally on your doorstep. Lovely big park with pond, children's play area, Glass House with live reptiles, insects and fish. There are also tennis courts.
