Dia de aventuras na fazenda
When you get here we will immediately go into the goat, mini horse, mini donkey, mini cow and pig pasture and love on them. We can also feed the Alpacas and Chickens. Sometimes they do get full in the afternoon so feeding may or may not happen. While visiting I will be actively working in the fields, but am always ready to answer question you may have. Because I am an animal sanctuary I take in all animals. Most are super loving, but some require special instruction to interact with. Parents please help kids follow the rules so everyone remains safe. Please wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind a dirty on, especially in the rainy season. Boot are VERY recommended. Even if it isn’t raining there is thick mud to walk through. This is a true animal farm. Poop, mud, and dirt are apart of it. We operate rain or shine and do not cancel for rain unless it would be unsafe to attend. We now offer fresh eggs for sale when available. If you want to reserve a dozen , let me know before your visit. We can also do birthday parties. If interested in any of these, let me know and I will get your more details Also, don’t forget to follow Tinyheartshomestead on Instagram to see what’s new at the farm A reminder you are visiting an active farm and animal behavior is unpredictable. Caminhada pela floresta até as cachoeiras Twin e Snoqualmie
This half day tour is a combination of an easy to moderate 2-hour hike to the Twin Falls and a visit to an historic logging town, Snoqualmie, located next to the famous Snoqualmie Falls, which we view, as well. I will pick you up in downtown Seattle and drive eastward for about 30 minutes until we arrive at the trailhead. We will hike in old growth forest along Snoqualmie River to Twin Falls and the Upper Falls, which are beautiful cascades of waterfalls. After the hike we will drive through North Bend, where the diner from the popular tv show "Twin Peaks" is located, to the historic logging town of Snoqualmie. The locomotives of the time are still on the railroad tracks and the old depot from the year 1890 is in use till this day. Then we go to the Snoqualmie Falls of 270 feet - followed by Borst Lake, where Mount Si is reflected in the often still lake - and then drive back to downtown Seattle.

Coleta de cogumelos
We will stroll along mountain trails, often in old growth conifers, enjoying the sights and sounds of the forest. In the fall, a wealth of mushrooms fruit in the evergreen forests of the Cascade Mountains. We will encounter many species and study them in their native environment. We may return with delicious edible mushrooms, but my goals for this experience are to introduce you to the fascinating study of mushrooms, and provide you with a foundation for safe mushroom foraging during a memorable visit to Pacific Northwest forest. For the experienced mycophile, I offer local knowledge and access to prime habitat. For guests coming from the Tacoma and Olympia areas, I am able to offer this experience in prime habitat further south. Please inquire. I am also able to accommodate groups larger than three who are willing to provide some of the transportation. Foraging for mushrooms is quite different and more relaxed than hiking to a destination. The moment we enter the forest, we will be at our destination! Other things to note Bring sunscreen and rain gear. Mushrooms thrive in rainy weather, so be prepared for rain, and also for cold weather since we are likely to be at much higher elevation than Seattle. I recommend you bring a knapsack for your personal belongings.

From the happy moment you board HOBBES, to the sad time you have to step off her, you will be immersed in the Sailing life! Frank and his mate Karen are anxious for you to feel at home onboard HOBBES. You may participate, or not, as you are comfortable. Relax and enjoy the cruise, or help with sailing (weather permitting); Your choice. We both will provide step by step instructions for you so that you will become comfortable on the water. As HOBBES is a very large boat, for first timers, it can be a bit intimidating. We will provide overall instruction about the art of sailing, show you how to handle lines to rig the sails, show you how to steer appropriately according to the wind, and guide you in handling the sail sheets to properly adjust them. We will adjust our instruction to your experience level. Depending on the tides on that particular day, we may head several different ways out of the harbor. Each direction has its own challenges from varied wind to rushing currents. Frank & Karen will guide you constantly with detailed instruction so you can make it look easy to sail the 16 ton craft according to your whims. After 2 hours of honing your skills at tacking, beating, reaching, and other points of sail, we will re-enter Gig Harbor. You can even help moor Hobbes when we glide into the dock after your cruise! Don't miss your chance to cruise HOBBES!

Conheça o santuário de Heartwood Haven Farm
During the tour, we meet and interact with pigs, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Sometimes a cat or dog makes an appearance too. We walk through the sanctuary and talk about what animals here have survived and how they have overcome hardships. Pigs like Delilah, Maple, and Otis flop over for belly rubs, and turkeys and chickens like affection and snuggles too. Everyone loves snack time at the sanctuary! The sanctuary is home to 15 pigs of all sizes. You will meet big 800lbs pigs, little 100lbs pigs, naked pigs, furry pigs, pigs who love belly rubs and snout kisses. We also visit the rescued hens and turkeys who love to flock around your feet and ask for their favorite treats. Other things to note Wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Boots or waterproof shoes are recommended. During the summer, sneakers are good too. We will be walking on grass, high heels aren't recommended. This experience is great for groups and great for team-building.
Tour pela cervejaria Old Ballard
Our tours are now open. The Old Ballard Brewery Tour includes Reuben's Brews, Peddler Brewery and Lagunitas Brewery. At a quarter mile, this is one of our shortest tours, but you will not find more great beer in a two-block area of any city in the country. Our tour starts and ends just a few short blocks from Old Ballard's Historic District. We are all going to have a great time. It is only a short walk and at each brewery we'll try four amazing 4 oz. beer samples. Each brewery features traditional beer styles and we'll learn a bit about them, the brewery and some brewing history. These small neighborhood brew pubs are also famous for their innovative and unique styles. Whether you are an experienced cerevisaphile or trying your first ale or lager I guarantee you that you'll find something that you've never tasted before, something you might not care for, and something that you will love. If you have never been to Seattle's brewery scene you will find the atmosphere warm and inviting, and most brew pubs are family and pet friendly. If the date or tour doesn't work out for you I have three other tours that just might. Tour com chef no Pike Place Market
We will take you on a culinary tasting adventure of Pike Place Market. We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest. Other things to note: The tour takes place rain or shine. Please email if you have dietary restrictions. Not all of our routes stop at the same places in Pike Place! We do book private tours for 9-15 people. Please direct message us to learn more. Our team also conducts a, more off the beaten path, tour on Fridays and Saturdays of South Lake Union. There are small bites over many stops and limited places to sit down. This experience requires a medium physical fitness level due to hills, stairs and uneven terrain. We do cover some distance and the market is crowded during the Summer. Lastly, due to our tight schedule and wanting to show you as much of the market during a short time, we don't have time to shop during the tour. We encourage you to come back after the tour with your discount card to make purchases.
Passeio de veleiro refrescante em Seattle no Puget Sound
There is a sense of magic in setting your sails, allowing the wind to carry you across water. I will gently encourage everyone to take a turn steering the boat, to feel the uniting force of wind and water. After all these years, I still find it enchanting. Choose your time. I offer a "Morning on the Sound" sailing cruise . . . a "Midday Cruise" . . . and a wonderful "Sunset Cruise." We will leave the dock at Shilshole Bay Marina, motor out past the city’s famed Golden Gardens Park, watch for sea lions loafing on the Meadow Point buoy, and then set sail, heading West across Puget Sound toward the magnificent Olympic Mountains. Along the way we will watch for schools of Dahl’s porpoises, orcas, seals, jumping salmon, bald eagles, herons, and other wildlife. (I once saw an eagle dive beside by boat, extending its claws to capture a salmon just below the surface that was so large it took several strong wing beats for the eagle flying just a foot above the water to slowly regain altitude for what must have been quite a feast.) On the Sunset Cruise, we will keep a careful watch as the sun sets behind the Olympic Mountains, for the resulting lightshow is something you will want to capture on camera. As the sun drops behind the well-named Mount Olympus and other peaks in the range, it often illuminates the clouds into glorious colors.
Rafting e churrasco em Whitewater
The White Salmon River flows through a collapsed lava tube coming off Mt. Adams, a designated Wild and Scenic area - it's stunning. Expect to paddle several worthy class III and IV rapids. We'll meet at Northwestern Park just outside of White Salmon WA, across the river from from Hood River. It's an hour and a half from Portland in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. We'll be rafting the White Salmon River, an estuary of the Columbia. After introductions we'll outfit you with a wetsuit, wetsuit booties, helmet and personal floatation device. We'll then take a short van ride to the put in. After an informative river orientation talk we walk down a path to the river, the noise of the rapids ever growing as we descend! Three hours later we'll be back at our cars; Photos of the trip as well as merchandise will be for sale. You may choose to bring a picnic and relax in the park after our trip or check out downtown White Salmon and Hood River. I love this river and sharing the experience and I look forward to seeing you soon! ~Scott Other things to note Your experience may just be your group on a raft with your guide or some new friends may join! Sometimes up to 7 rafts may go depending on who joins that day. Everyone gets outfitted with a wetsuit, wetsuit booties, splash top if desired and a helmet. We go rain or shine, expect to get wet!

Sheep, alpaca and goat experience from animal to the mill
We are a working farm raising sheep, alpaca and goats for fiber which we then process into roving, rug yarn and finished products. We also have dairy goats and use their milk to make goat milk soap. When you visit our farm you will meet a variety of very friendly sheep and goats who love to get scratches and treats. They all have names and know them. We love our animals and spend a lot of time with them everyday enjoying the personality of each one. Our alpacas are all rescues, so we will visit them in their field and if we stay calm and quiet Cocoa will usually come up to greet you. We bring treats out and there are a few who will eat out of your hand. Once we have visited with the animals we will take a tour through our mill and learn how the fiber from our animals is processed into roving, batts, rug yarn, rugs, dryer balls and felted sheets. We use all of the fiber that our animals work to produce each year by processing it into various products. Our primary goal at Blue Mist Farm is provide a safe loving home for all the animals that come to live here. We spend time with them and earn their trust on their terms. In exchange we have a fun crew with so many different personalities that come and seek out our attention every time we come out to them.
Passeio de cogumelos em North Bend
We are going to explore the forest to seek out some of the most interesting mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest. Some mushrooms require very specific habitats to grow and I will help you learn to find them yourself. We will hold, touch, smell, and maybe even taste a small piece of some mushrooms to identify them. I will point out the characteristics that I use for identification, as well as features that would help us differentiate from similar looking species. I will also tell you my process for selecting areas that are likely to have some of the most prized mushrooms like boletes, chanterelles, and morels. We will spend about 2 hours walking through the forest both on and off trail. We will gather certain mushrooms for further inspection and if we come across cdibles, we can take a selection of these back with us as well. It is difficult to predict when and where mushrooms are fruiting and I can't guarantee we will find large quantities of edible mushrooms. This is an educational trip first, and foraging only when the timing is right. Please check my other experiences for locations near Rainier, Hwy 2, and the Mountain Loop Highway.

O melhor do Parque Nacional de Seattle
Our day trip will take you on a special journey--we’re going to have fun, eat well, walk in the wild, and show you our favorite parts of the National Park. We keep our groups small; you may join a few other explorers (we limit our trips at ten guests) from all over the world. We’ll pick you up from downtown Seattle at a stop convenient to you, then we hop on a ferry! We’ll roam the windy decks, have a little breakfast, and see some sweeping panoramic city views you won’t find elsewhere before continuing on to the northeast corner of the Park. In the National Park, we’ll see giant old growth trees, azure lakes and waterfalls, and watch for bears, birds and marmots. We’ll ditch the van to stroll through several terrains - from moss-draped forest floors to pillowy snow on Hurricane Ridge, or the soft rolling sands of the mouth of the Elwha River. We’ll cater activity levels to the desires of the group. At the end of the day we’ll return you to your place in downtown Seattle! Other things to note - Even if you're the only person booking a trip date - join us! It's likely someone else is booked (that called us to book) instead of AirBNB. - Don't see your preferred date? Call us: 206-650-5795. - We do not visit the Hoh Rainforest on our single day tour. If you are interested in visiting this astounding place, consider joining us for our 3-Day Silence Tour!
