Horseriding
The rides, mostly 2 hours in length follow the old pack horse trails to such beauty spots as Three Shires Head, where the 3 county boundaries meet, (Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire). Whilst the longer rides will take you to the old market village of Longnor, or towards the quaint old pub, ‘The Quiet Woman’ in nearby Earl Sterndale.
Normally starting at 10.30am or 2.00pm, depending on the length, all rides are accompanied by qualified staff. Over 30 mostly home bred horses and ponies, which will suit all ages and standards, from the first timer to the more experienced rider.

Wild Park Derbyshire is a centre of excellence for quad biking ! An “extreme” quad bike trekking centre with over 200 acres of land to play with, which include mature woodlands, swamps, brooks, open fields, mounds and speed arenas. The experiences roughly last between 2 and 2 and a half hours, depending on which length of trek you do.

Millers Dale Bridge provides the most spectacular Peak District abseil site. Here you can have your Derbyshire abseiling adrenaline rush! Your challenge is to abseil over the arch, which is above the River Wye. This gives you an 80 ft abseil of which 70 ft is free hanging!
A session will last a maximum of 2.5 hrs and participants will get a minimum of 3 abseils!

Make sure to climb the steps to Thor’s Cave (250 ft above the track) for magnificent views across the valley. Tearooms along the way and a pub at Hulme End.

Chas has 10 years experience as a qualified, fully insured Rock Climbing Instructor and Local Mines and Cave Leader able to teacclimbing and caving at all levels...age is no barrier!
