Located in Capitol Hill, this is one of our favorite places (especially for a rainy day).
Founded by a husband and wife team, Optimism brewing is a brewery, not a brewpub, which makes great beers! They host an ever-changing group of family-owned food trucks parked in our beer garden. In addition, you are free to bring take-out food from local restaurants, or have food delivered to the brewery. Kids and dogs are welcome as well!
Need somewhere to spend some time before check in? This is a great spot. It's close to the streetcar that goes to the house, and there's lots of space if you have bags.
Want to get a big group together? You can reserve tables free of charge for groups fro 8-20 people.

If you don't want to dine outside, you can also order this pizza to go as an extra tasty alternative to takeout pizza. We recommend the Apple, the Soppresseta, or the Whole Hog

The light link trains runs from the Airport to the UW campus, and connects with the street cars in downtown and capitol hill. We're lucky to have a street car stop almost directly outside of the house, with connection to the stadiums and capitol hill
