Located just a short trip north Lakeview, Andersonville has LOTS of great shopping and restaurants/bars to check out. Always lots of people out and about enjoying the area. Voted one of the Top 10 neighborhoods in the world!

Chicago was voted the second most beautiful (and second most fun) city in the world by 27,000 voters who weighed in on the 2021 Time Out Index survey. Suffice it to say, we were very flattered! Now, Chicago has received yet another accolade: Andersonville, the historically Swedish enclave on the far North Side, was voted the coolest neighborhood in America and the second-coolest neighborhood in the world, following Copenhagen's Nørrebro.

Also known as Swedish-town. You cant miss our restored Swedish water tower that’s visible all down Foster Ave! Although it’s a quiet family neighborhood, downtown Andersonville is filled with everything from restaurants, shopping, coffee, sweets, and the Swedish Museum.

Andersonville about 3 miles from Jarvis House and is usually a quick 15 minute drive, uber, or bus ride. We love Andersonville because it’s a little hidden gem that visitors to Chicago sometimes overlook. Andersonville has a lot to offer, so if you have time it is definitely worth a visit.
