The National Helicopter Museum will begin this season on Monday, Memorial Day and will then be open Wednesday to Sunday, 1:00 – 04:00 PM, thru mid-October. The Museum features a model of the first helicopter flight in Stratford in 1939, an actual Sikorsky S-76 cockpit and a computer based helicopter flight simulator. This is a free Museum, although donations are appreciated. US Postal Service: National Helicopter Museum, P.O. Box 775, Stratford, CT 06615 The Museum is located at the Stratford, Connecticut Eastbound Railroad Station, at 2480 Main Street. Hours: Friday through Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm from Memorial Day to mid-October. No appointment is necessary. COVID safe practices are in place. Free parking; handicapped accessible.
