Olde Beach Bakery- review from Stuff 15.06.21 Where: Ono Street, Waikanae If you’re driving through Kāpiti, be sure to turn off at Waikanae Beach and stop for a treat at this cute little bakery (which also comes highly recommended from senior members of Stuff’s Wellington newsroom). “Just off the expressway in Waikanae Beach is our favourite little hole-in-the-wall bakery – the Olde Beach Bakery. Its pies are just delicimo! A wide variety of pies that are full of flavour with buttery pastry. Decent size too for the money. Around lunchtime there is usually a queue going outside the door! And the cheese scones are the best I have had anywhere (and I have tried a lot of different ones)!” – Bob Bunch

Olde Beach bakery at 3 Ono street, Waikanae has the best cheese scones, pastries, pies and breads as well as filled sandwiches and great coffee. Buy a scone and get your takeaway coffee and enjoy in their outdoor garden area and watch the queues of people out the door when the baking is fresh out of the oven
