Located on the north side of Muskegon, is beautiful Muskegon State Park. Enjoy the beautiful sandy beach or take a walk along the channel and watch the pleasure boats motoring from Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan and back again.

I have never been but I hear there are trails here. Check with the DNR website for trial info.

This is our favorite place to see the sunset. It is a little further away - 24 minutes, but is vast and open to Lake Michigan.
