“The Church of St. Đorđa, located at the foot of Gorica, the hill after which the town was named, was built between the 9th and 11th centuries. The Church of St. George is the oldest active Christian place of worship in Montenegro. This place of worship is one of the oldest buildings in Podgorica, and for decades it was the only place of worship.
