Rice wine is a part of Khmer culture, and a stop here is a must-do in Southside Siem Reap. Sombai create infused rice wine, as well as alcoholic jams and great gifts (such as handpainted bottles and glasses). There are a range of items to buy that are some of the best, and most unique gifts you can take home. Importantly, the free tour here is super fun...they will show you the wine with fruit and spices infusing upstairs, and if you are lucky you might get to see an artist hand-painting a bottle. The free tour allows you to taste the full range of wines and jams and the whole visit will take about 30-60 minutes.
