This is a good place to start a scenic tour...head up river (east). Shortly after turning on this road, there will be a pull-out with room for a few cars on the right hand side. This is MATRIMONY SPRINGS, and an excellent place to fill up your water bottles! Locals use this water source all the time. Road will follow along the Colorado River. You will eventually end up on I-70 if you go far enough! Fantastic views of the La Sal Mountain, Fisher Towers, and the Historic Dewey Bridge. This is a famous stretch of river to raft day trips. I LOVE to drive this stretch of road during rain storms and watch all the waterfalls cascading off the surrounding cliffs! Stop at Red Cliffs Lodge for lunch, dinner or drinks on their lovely patio near the river. They have a wonderful Movie Museum there!
