This is the estate of President James Buchanan, famously esteemed as the worst president in history for not preventing the civil war. His estate is fascinating and the history museum is interesting as well! Definitely take the tour.

This is a small but interesting museum that tells the story of Lancaster from its humble beginnings. Also on the property is the former home of President James Buchanan, who is widely considered by historians to be the worst president in US history. Take a tour of the mansion, and once you hear his tragic story you can decide for yourself if he was just a victim of circumstance. On a nice day, this museum is within walking distance!
