There is a tram that you can take down the mountain and a boat ride that you can take that goes under/ near the New River Gorge. Scenic overlooks and trails.

Great views of the gorge. A fun trip is to park at the lodge, buy a ticket for the gondola and hike or bike down the Ansted Rail Trail to the lake and ride the gondola back to the lodge.
