Relax outside on the terrace by the lake for incredible sunsets, fun atmosphere, food, drinks, homemade local ice cream and free live music. Rent a sailboat or take lessons nearby. You could also stroll down State Street towards the Capitol Building from here.

This is not just for students - everyone in Madison loves hanging out here :) Gorgeous Lake Mendota views with beers and many food options. Try Babcock ice cream there (produced from the cows on campus, no joke)!

Where the UW campus merges with the city. It's a great place to grab a beer or an ice cream, people watch, enjoy the lake breeze and some live music. Highly recommended
