Learn all about Washington's role in the "Underground Railroad" that helped slaves escape to the north. The husband and wife Docent team are very knowledgable and just precious people! Just next door to "318."

Washington has always be a cultural mix, once part of the Slave societies of the south the movement of people seeking to escape to the North happened through a system of the underground rail road. Don’t let this little museum fool you it’s packed full of history that sheds light and cultural awareness to one of the most controlling periods of American Individual’s right for freedom.
