Free to enter... Dig for fossils...Approx 12 miles this side of Payson, AZ on HWY 260. Google Map should guide you there. Don't forget your snacks and water. Digging equipment is recommended.

Approx. 7 miles down Hwy 260 toward Payson, just beyond Kohl’s Ranch (make a U-turn at Schoolhouse Tank). The site is marked with a road sign. There is parking & there are no fees or other costs. Bring a small shovel, hammer, or screw driver to dig for ancient fish & shell fossils. All treasures you find are yours to keep!
