The best vegan buffet at lunch time and lots of delicius a la carte, fish, meat, soups. Tey also have very intresting walkthrough exhibition with audioguide that tells you the story of the settlement of Iceland and the story of the first settler in Borgarnes

Borgarnes boasts innovative and traditional cuisine. The Settlement Center Restaurant is at the top of this list. It is a farm to table restaurant and serves traditional meals with contemporary flair. The vegetarian buffet opens at 11:30 until 3 pm and is delicious as well as affordable. During the summer months they offer a 6 pm showing of Graskinna Black Magic an entertaining and dramatic telling of an Icelandic legend. They also have 2 award winning exhibitions about the first settlers and the Egill Saga. There dinner menu is outstanding and the Fish of the Day is unforgettable.
