Yes, the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb is a gorgeous experience, but if it’s booked out—or out of your price range—climb one of the sandstone towers instead. You’ll ascend 200 stairs and pop out at the top of a pylon, earning yourself 360-degree views of the whole breathtaking city. And it’ll cost you just $15. You’re welcome. If you’ve never done so you absolutely must, without exception, without arguments, walk over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, from The Rocks to Kirribilli. Locals sometimes look rather bored while walking the 25 -minute track, but don’t mind them—they’re just spoilt. That view will quicken your heartbeat.

A local secret for the views- a sneaky way to get up higher for great views back towards the Sydney Opera House without the expense of doing the Bridge Climb (although the Bridge Climb is a must do if you can).

Walk up the Pylons on the Harbour Bridge for great views of the entire city and harbour! Breathtaking views without the price of bridge walk.

This is our top secret Sydney treat. Everyone knows The Bridge, and lots of visitors do Bridge Climb, but we prefer this. There's almost never anyone there, it's a bit quaint and old style. The view is intimate and comfortable. The surrounding area is very interesting with lots of sights to see. Get yourself to The Rocks (tourist Central) and find Observatory Hill. Find 'Bridge Stairs' in Cumberland St and you're on your way. Observatory Hill has a nice little art gallery with a cafe. The Observatory itself is worth a visit. You can also walk across the Harbour Bridge from here, and at the other end take a ferry back from Kirribilli if you want a round trip.

Good view from the top and some history of the building of the bridge. NOTE: This is located as you walk along the actual bridge, not on Cumberland St. as indicated by AirBnB

A much cheaper alternative to the Bridge Climb. It's a similar view but $140 dollars cheaper (It's $13!)
