Next door to a great, locally owned restaurant, The Southern Rail. They often have speakers and always have great coffee.

This is a fun place to go with the family. They have a nice selection of kids books with sitting areas to relax and hang out. There is a bar with coffee and specialty beers and wines and snacks. In the same building is an upscale cajun restaurant and a fancy garden shop. There are tables and comfy chairs near the historic fireplace to work or read as long as you want.

The ultimate independent bookstore with a flawless selection of great books both new and used. Get a glass of wine or a beer at First Draft, their own in-house bar, and browse the rows... sublime!
