The Shining. This is where Stephen King stayed when he dreamed the idea of The Shining.

Remember the Shining? The movie was filmed here. The original hotel was built by FO Stanley and he brought people from the front range to his hotel by Steamers. In addition to the hotel, there is also a power station built to power his hotel on Fall River which is very unique. It is not longer in operation but is a museum. There is also a museum on the lower level of the hotel. Ghost tours are available for a fun evening.

The film The Shining was filmed here! We, The Colorado Cherry Company also have a coffee shop and retail store on the main level.
