Cwmcarn Forest is mountain biking paradise with three mountain bike trails and another coming soon. With ample parking, bike repair shop and lift service, everything is on hand for a day of biking for thrill seeking adrenaline junkies. Breakfast is available along with snacks and hearty meals at Cwmcarn’s Raven’s Cafe, located in the visitor centre. Whether you want walking trails or a leisurely stroll, Cwmcarn Forest has it all, from challenging hill climbs up Twmbarlwm to gentle walks around the forest and valley floor. Cwmcarn Forest is a paradise of nature and activities. Enjoy panoramic views of the Welsh countryside, relax at picnic and BBQ spots, and let the kids run around in the three wonderful adventure playgrounds. For adrenaline lovers, it is a mountain biking wonderland. The Y Mynydd course is an extreem downhill trail for experienced bikers with the highest level of skill. The Cafall and famous Twrch Trail are both red graded trails not for the faint hearted either, with fantastic views of the Bristol channel and surrounding countryside. All this an more is only a minute's walk from the cottage Forest Ride Retreat.
