Pine State Biscuits is one of the food reasons why we moved to Portland. Everything is insanely good. There are several locations in Portland but our favorite and closest is on Division. Open M-Th 8am-2pm and F-Su 7am-3pm its a 10 minute drive or 40 minute walk from The RoseBud. If the weather is nice, grab your food to go and walk through the charming X shaped historic neighborhood Ladd's Addition and eat your brunch in the center circle park. See our guidebook entry on Ladd's Addition for more historical information. It's a must to order some biscuits with all of the spreads for the table. Our personal favorite brunch meal is the mushroom biscuits and gravy. On any other day we love meat in our gravy, but there is something so perfectly savory about the mushroom gravy at Pine State. We could drink it. There is no parking that we are aware of, street parking took a few times around the block to find a spot, but it's doable. There was a considerable line and we waited probably 20 minutes to order our food. After ordering, guests find their own table, but we were able to find one right away. There is a large covered seating area with roughly 12 tables as well as a little seating inside.

Absolutely delicious biscuits & gravy, as well as chicken pot pie! Biking distance. They have a nice covered "outdoor" patio, which is good for COVID and winter times. Dogs are allowed in the patio too. There's always a line and they don't take reservations, so go early!
