The castle not longer stands, however Mary Queen of Scott's was beheaded here before original burial at Peterborough Cathedral and now Westminster Abbey

Richard III was born here in 1452 and Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded here in 1587. Both the castle site and the church are worth a visit. Not much left of the castle. The church is stunning.
