If you are a serious golfer, Minchinhampton Golf Club, located just above Avening is a fabulous place to enjoy either 18 or 36 holes. One of the premium clubs in the South West, it has two courses and a wonderful clubhouse with balcony. Andrew is a member. In addition there is a further 18 holes on Minchinhampton Common which offers a unique test of golf and natural hazards including the cows that roam the course in the summer months.

The course of choice for the golfers in our family who are members here. There are three 18 hole courses available to play - the Old Course is on the common and there are two new courses.

Not far from the old golf course at MInchinhampton is a private club, again an 18 hole course.
