The best mochi on the big island! Worth the wait - there will be a line, but it move quickly. Also, get the fresh strawberry Mochi; it changes lives!

Traditional Japanese Mochi made modern and local. Flavors like peanut butter 🥜 and chocolate. But the must try is the FRESH 🍓 wrapped in azuki bean and fresh soft Mochi. Check Facebook or Yelp for hours of opening and menu. It is recommended to pre-order and pickup.

You have to pre-order their award-winning coveted strawberry mochi. This is a VERY hole-in-the-wall local-style mochi shop, with inconsistent hours and a limited supply of their more popular flavors. Call ahead to check what they have, and bring cash! They don’t accept credit cards.

You must stop here while in Hilo and try their world famous Hawaiian Mochi! Locals through out the Hawaiian Islands makes special trips to come here. There might be a long line outside usually, but it moves very fast. My favorite is the strawberry mochi! Mochi is soft chewy rice baked with flour and sugar, topped with various flavors like chocolate, fruit and more.
