Churchill's home is a fascinating place to visit. You get such a strong sense of the man's prodigious energy and productivity. Beautiful setting in the North downs.

For over 40 years it was home of Winston Churchill. It is preserved as a historic property by the National Trust. Consistently one of their most visited sites. It was Churchills' main base in the 20's and 30's for writing, painting and entertaining. Enjoy the breathtaking views and landscaped hillside garden.

Home of Sir Winston Churchill. Loads of interesting history and magnificent gardens. Not exactly local so possibly only worthwhile if you have a few days.
