This is a beautiful area with a castle, a moat and a church (if that's your thing), you can walk around (i think the castle is open to visitors in the summer), and its a delightful place for a picnic. There are also a few country walks that you can do beginning from here. Also a great pub in the village called the Seye and See.

Excellent old moated manor house - occupied by members of Fiennes family. Local volunteers can show you round. Great walks on the land. OX15 5EB

A medieval fortified manor house in nearby Broughton village. Still occupied by the same family and was important in the English civil war

Castle with beautiful public footpaths around surrounding parklands. Fantastic woodlands, stream and moat to observe.
