Check out the John Dillinger exhibit here. There are still bullet holes in the walls and windows of the lodge (now a restaurant) where the April 23, 1934 shootout between the Dillinger Gang and the FBI occurred. Dillinger escaped along the shore of Little Star Lake. Open year round.

Site of John Dillinger and the Dillinger Gang's epic shootout with the F.B.I., the Lodge is also the modern day filming location for the Universal Studios film starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, PUBLIC ENEMIES. There are still bullet holes in the windows and walls!
