Parque
“Lucayan National Park is a large area of Freeport's Pine Forest that feature of a variety of natural habitats located in one area. The parks entrance is an unassuming gravel parking lot with signs describing the wooded area and two popular underwater caves. Across the street from the caves are long winding wooden trails that criss crosses over watery terrain. Here you can stroll at your leisure and observe the local plant and wildlife. The pathway opens up to what is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the island - Gold Rock Beach. To receive a proper Freeport welcome, visit Gold Rock Beach at low tide, which unveils the beach’s signature rippled sand — what the locals call the island’s “welcome mat.” Bring beach gear and enjoy a day at the beach to cool off in beautiful blue waters after hiking and exploring. A must see on stay in Freeport.”
