Excellent hike up along the Temperance River. The State Park trail joins up with the Superior Hiking Trail so you can keep going and going if you'd like. A quick hike down to the beach for a great lakeside experience. Pebble beach and larger rocks for scrambling and exploring make this a must visit.

This state park has amazing views with rustic paths along the river. (Stay away from the riverbanks, because falling in has been dangerous with very rapid currents and under tows). (171.0 miles)

The deep gorge cut by this river has amazing geologic features including massive potholes, multiple ancient lava flows stacked upon one another, and super cool mineral deposits in the rocks.
