Smaller but very impressive archeological site in the island of Cozumel. I really like this place because it's in the middle of nature and it's not crowded at all.

This site does not come close to other Mayan ruins in Mexico, but this particular one is very well preserved and the guides do a very good job explaining the buildings, the old mayan traditions and culture. The guides are inexpensive and highly recommend hiring one. This is also in the jungle so bring the bug spray.

It is the most important sacred Mayan Site in Cozumel's island. It was strategic for commerce, politics and a snactuary to Goddess Ixchel and obligatory visit for Mayas once in their lifetime.
