Furnace Mill is one of several excellent local coarse fisheries close to the cottage. It is in easy walking distance through the forest from Manor Holding, or just down the road, if you have a lot of fishing gear. Silligrove Fishing Pools are a little further, but easy cycling distance. While both are thought to be based on historic medieval ponds each has been landscaped in recent years to enhance the fishing experience. A list of other local fishing ponds is available in the accommodation.
